Mobile based attendance

HRStop offers the flexibility for employees to mark their attendance using the HRStop mobile application. This is especially useful for remote teams, field employees, or companies looking to adopt a digital attendance process.

Admins can easily enable or restrict mobile-based attendance based on organizational needs, departments, or even individual employees.


How to Configure Mobile-Based Attendance

Step 1: Enable Attendance Module

  1. Navigate to Control Panel → Settings → Attendance → Configure.
  2. Ensure the “Enable Attendance Module” checkbox is ticked.
    This activates the attendance feature across the portal.

Step 2: Disable Mobile Attendance (if needed)

  • Please note: Mobile attendance is enabled by default for all employees.
  • If you wish to disable it, you can do so by selecting the "Disable via mobile" option available on this page.
  • Tick this checkbox if you want to restrict employees from punching attendance through the mobile app.
    Once enabled, the punch button will be hidden in the mobile app for all users.

Configure Mobile Attendance Exceptions

You can set custom exceptions to allow or restrict mobile attendance for specific departments, designations, or employees.

Step 3: Go to Exception Settings

  • Click on Configure Mobile Attendance Exception.

Step 4: Enable Attendance Exceptions

  • In the new page, make sure “Enable Attendance Exception” is checked.

Step 5: Department/Designation Level Setup

  1. Under Web/Mobile section, select the applicable Department and Designation.
  2. Choose the platform (e.g., Mobile).
  3. Click Save to apply changes.
    You can later edit or delete using the action icons.

Step 6: Employee-Level Setup

  1. From the dropdown, choose the specific employee under “Select Employee”.
  2. Select the attendance mode (Web or Mobile).
  3. Click Save.
    Changes reflect immediately and can be modified anytime.

With mobile-based attendance and exception settings, HRStop provides admins with the control to manage attendance flexibly and securely—ensuring compliance with internal policies while improving employee convenience.
