(0:01) Now, this section explains how, as an admin, you can apply for leave on behalf of an employee.

(0:09) Go to control panel → leaves → employees.

(0:15) On the employees page, you see the
apply leave option. Click the apply leave option.

(0:23) Select the employee you want to apply for leave for.

(0:26) For example, select an employee’s name.

(0:33) When you select the employee’s name, all the leaves credited or entitled to them,

(0:39) that is, all the leave categories and the balance available
to that employee, are visible.

(0:44) In this example, the employee has a balance of 12 in bereavement leave, and a zero balance in the other categories.

(0:51) So you can apply for leave in the bereavement category. Choose that leave type.

(0:57) Any leave rules defined in the system for this category are shown here for your reference.

(1:04) Define the leave period for which you are applying.

(1:07) The leave count is shown here. Enter the reason for the leave
here.

(1:14) You can upload the requested file. If uploading a file is mandatory, you must upload the necessary document before you can submit the leave request.

(1:28) As you are applying for the leave as an admin, you can set the status to approved or pending, as required.

(1:36) Usually, the status is approved, because you are applying as an admin

(1:38) and no further approval is needed. In that case, keep the status as approved.

(1:45) If you want the manager or anyone else to give approval, set the status to pending and submit.

(1:52) You have now applied for leave on behalf of the employee.
