Download a document template

You can download document templates whenever you need to review template content, maintain a backup copy, or create a revised version of an existing template.

Downloading a template retrieves the original template file that was uploaded to the system.

Navigation path: Control Panel → Forms/Policies → Document Templates

Download a document template

To download a document template:

1. Navigate to the Document Templates page.
2. Locate the required template.
3. Click the Download icon.
4. The original template file is downloaded to your device.

You can then review or update the downloaded file as required.

Common use cases

Document templates are commonly downloaded for:

Use Case	Description
Template Review	Review the content and formatting of an existing template.
Template Updates	Download the existing template, make changes, and upload a revised version.
Backup and Record Keeping	Maintain a copy of important document templates outside the system.

The downloaded file is a copy of the original template file stored within the system. Downloading a template does not modify the template configuration or document generation settings.

Important notes

• Only users with authorized administrative access can download document templates.
• The downloaded file is the original template file uploaded to the system.
• Downloading a template does not make any changes to the template configuration.
• Changes made to the downloaded file are not reflected in the system unless the revised file is uploaded and saved as part of a template update.
