How-to
Import investment declarations
HRStop lets you manage employees’ investment declarations. Employees can fill in the investment declaration in the portal and submit it. The admin can also fill in the investment declaration on behalf of the employee.
You need to enable the investment declaration option so that employees can also fill in the details through their portal. To enable it, navigate to Control Panel → Payroll → Investments, select the financial year, select the Enable Investment Declaration check box and click the Update button. You can either declare the investments one by one or bulk upload them.
Follow these steps to import investment declarations:
Navigate to Control Panel → Payroll → Investments and click the Import button (in the page action bar).
A new page opens, showing fields to bulk import investment declarations. Read the instructions on the right side of the page.
Click Download Sample CSV file to download a CSV file.
Edit the file and upload it in the Upload File field.
Select the Financial Year for which the investments are declared.
If you want the system to consider the PF amount generated by the system (as declared under section 80C) irrespective of the imported data, select the PF Auto Calculate Always check box.
If you want to consider the rent for a metropolitan city, select the Is Metro check box.
If you pay the same rent every month, select the Single check box. If you want to enter it separately for each month, select the Separate for Month check box.
Click the Upload button to upload the file. You can also click Reset to remove the filled data.
A notification of successful import appears at the top of the page.
