Whether you're a business owner or an HR professional, ensuring the security of payslips is crucial. If you want to set a password for your payslips in HRStop, follow the steps below to set up password protection.

1. Access the Control Panel

Begin by navigating to the Control Panel on your system. This is typically found on your main dashboard or home screen. If you're unsure where to locate it, refer to the system's user manual or online help guide.

2. Go to the Settings section

Within the Control Panel, you will find various options. Click "Settings". This is where you will find different settings and configurations for your system.

3. Open the Payroll settings

In Settings, go to the "Payroll" section. This section covers everything related to payroll, including payslip configurations.

4. Find the password protection setting

In the Payroll section, look for the option titled "Make payslip password-protected". This option is the key to securing your payslips with passwords.

5. Understand your password options

When you select the password protection option, you see three password settings:

  • Password 1: This is a unique password setting, allowing you to select a distinct password as per your preference.
  • Password 2: Similar to Password 1, this allows you to choose another distinct password.
  • Master Password: This password setting is distinct. Whatever password you choose here is set for everyone. This is a universal password, so choose wisely and ensure it's communicated clearly to all relevant parties.

6. Finalize your settings

Once you have defined your passwords, click "Update". This action saves your password configurations and ensures they're applied to the relevant payslips.
