Overview:
To maintain timesheet accuracy and prevent manipulation or delayed submissions, HRStop allows admins to restrict employees from submitting backdated entries beyond a specified number of days.
Navigation Path:
Control Panel → Settings → Modules → Timesheet Configuration
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Enable the Restriction
-
Scroll to the option:
“Restrict employees to fill timesheet after __ days”
2. Enter the Number of Days
- Input the maximum number of past days for which an employee can submit a timesheet.
- Example: Enter 30 to block any entries older than 30 days.
3. Click “Update” or “Save”
- This will apply the rule across all users unless exempted through exceptions.
Example Scenario:
- If today's date is May 25, an employee will only be allowed to submit entries from April 25 onwards, and dates before that will be locked for entry.
Tips for Implementation:
- Start with a longer window (e.g., 60 days) during transition periods.
- Use alongside timesheet reminders to promote timely submission.
- Combine with exceptions if certain teams (like remote staff or consultants) need flexibility.
