Overview:
HRStop provides powerful bulk import capabilities that simplify large-scale data entry. Whether onboarding new teams, launching multiple projects, or managing department shifts, importing via CSV saves time and ensures accuracy.
Scenarios Supported:
You can bulk import the following:

Common Steps for All Imports:
1. Click the Relevant “Import” Option
- Navigate to the specific section (e.g., Assign Project).
- Click Import (usually at the top-right corner).
2. Download the Sample CSV File
- Click “Download Sample File” to ensure correct column headers and formats.
3. Fill In the CSV File
Each type of import has slightly different fields:
A. Importing Projects
Field | Description |

Project Name | Unique project name. |
Project Code | Internal reference. |
Start Date / End Date | In YYYY-MM-DD format. |
Status | Active / Closed |
Billable / Non-billable Resource Count | Numbers only. |
Client | Must match existing client name. |

B. Importing Project Tasks
Field | Description |

Project | The name of the project this task belongs to. |

C. Importing Project Assignments

4. Upload the File
- Use the Choose File button.
- Upload the CSV to HRStop.
5. Review the Upload
- The system will show a preview of valid and invalid rows.
- Fix any issues (like typos or mismatches) and re-upload if needed.
6. Click “Import”
- Once validated, click Import to apply all data entries to the system.
Best Practices:
- Double-check spellings and casing (e.g., “ClientABC” vs “clientabc”).
- Save a copy of all uploaded files for audit.
- Use a master Excel sheet to consolidate before breaking into multiple CSVs for each import type.
