Project Task – How to Add and Map Tasks to Departments

In HRStop, tasks are sub-units of projects. Mapping them to departments ensures proper responsibility assignment and helps with detailed timesheet logging.


Navigation Path:

Control Panel > Timesheet > Dropdown beside Manage Project ->  Project Task


Steps to Add and Map Tasks:

  1. Click Project Task in the dropdown.
  2. Click Add New Task.
  3. Fill in:

TitleTask name (e.g., UI Design, QA Testing)
ProjectSelect the project to which this task belongs
DepartmentChoose the responsible department
DescriptionDefine the task scope
  1. Click Save.

Optional: Bulk Import Tasks

  • Use the Import option to add multiple tasks via CSV.
  • Required fields: Task Name, Project Name, Department, Description.
