Managers in HRStop can review skill submissions made by their team members and approve or reject them based on their proficiency and relevance. This ensures only validated skills are reflected in an employee’s official profile.
Skill approvals are required only when the Approval-Based option is enabled by the Admin in skill configuration settings.
Steps to Approve or Reject Submitted Skills
- Login to the system using your Manager credentials.
- Go to
Main Panel > My Team > Skills
. - You will see a list of all skill submissions made by employees directly reporting to you.
- For each skill entry, review the following:
- Skill Name
- Rating (proficiency level)
- Experience (if enabled)
- Use the action buttons:
- ✅ Approve – To accept the skill.
- ❌ Reject – To decline the submission.
- 🗑️ Delete – To remove the skill submission entirely (if visible to you).
Bulk Approvals for an Employee
Managers can also approve all pending skills for a particular employee in one go.
How to perform bulk approvals:
- You may filter by employee using the dropdown to view a specific team member.
- Or, simply scroll through the list of all employees and their submitted skills.
- At the end of an employee’s skill list, click the green Approve All (✓) button to approve all pending entries for that employee.
This functionality helps managers efficiently process multiple skills without going into each skill individually.
What Happens After Approval or Rejection
- Approved skills are immediately added to the employee’s official profile.
- Rejected skills are discarded and not reflected in reports or profiles.
- No further action is required unless the employee resubmits the skill.
