Overview
In HRStop, employees are not allowed to apply for backdated leaves if their leave balance was credited after the date they are trying to apply for. This is by design and ensures payroll accuracy.
Example Scenario
- An employee’s Comp Off balance = 0 on 28th.
- The employee actually takes leave on 28th.
- On 30th, their Comp Off balance gets credited.
- The employee then tries to apply leave for 28th.
The system will not allow this backdated leave request.
Why is this restriction needed?
- Payroll Accuracy – Payroll calculations may already consider the day (28th) as LOP (Loss of Pay) since there was no balance available at that time. Allowing retroactive leave could lead to incorrect salary adjustments.
Key Points to Remember
- If balance is credited after the leave date, backdated leave cannot be submitted.
- This safeguard avoids discrepancies in payroll and ensures smooth processing.
