Trusted Device Verification is a security enhancement available in the HRStop Mobile App.
When an employee logs in to the HRStop Mobile App for the first time, the mobile device being used is automatically added as the employee's Trusted Device. This process happens in the background and does not require any additional verification or configuration.
Once the device has been registered as a Trusted Device, HRStop can use it to strengthen the security of mobile-based activities such as attendance.
How Trusted Device Verification Works
The first time an employee signs in to the HRStop Mobile App, the current mobile device is automatically registered as the employee's Trusted Device.
For existing users, simply updating the application, logging out and logging in again will register the device automatically.
No additional setup is required from either the employee or the HR administrator.
Registering a Trusted Device
Follow the steps below to register a Trusted Device.
- Update the HRStop Mobile App to the latest version from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Open the HRStop Mobile App.
- If you are already logged in, log out of the application.
- Log in again using your HRStop credentials.
- The current mobile device is automatically added as your Trusted Device.
No further action is required.
Changing a Trusted Device
If an employee changes their mobile phone due to loss, damage or replacement, the previously registered Trusted Device must first be removed by the HR administrator.
After the existing Trusted Device has been cleared:
- Install the HRStop Mobile App on the new mobile device.
- Log in using the employee's HRStop credentials.
- The new mobile device is automatically registered as the employee's Trusted Device.
Important Notes
- Each employee can have one Trusted Device associated with their HRStop account.
- Trusted Device registration happens automatically during login.
- No OTP or additional verification process is required.
- If the employee changes their mobile device, the existing Trusted Device should be cleared before logging in from the new device.
- The new device will automatically become the Trusted Device after a successful login.
