Overview:
The Daily View allows employees to submit detailed work logs, including task descriptions, time spent, and supporting documents for each day. Ideal for roles that require granular activity tracking or frequent context-switching between tasks.
Navigation Path:
Employee Panel → Timesheet → Submit → Daily View
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Select the Date
- Use the calendar to choose the specific date for which you're logging time.
-
You can only log for dates:
- That fall within the allowed range (e.g., not older than 30 days).
- That are not in the future (unless permitted).
2. Select Project Details
For each task or activity:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Client | Select the client (if applicable). |
Project | Choose the appropriate assigned project. |
Task | Pick the relevant task from the dropdown. |
Task Title | Optional, auto-filled if enabled. You can edit if needed. |
Description of Work | Enter a summary of the work done (e.g., “Created wireframes for mobile app”). |
Start Time – End Time | Choose your shift/activity duration (e.g., 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM). The system will auto-calculate total hours. |
3. Add Additional Rows (if needed)
- Click “Add Row” to log multiple tasks/projects for the same day.
4. Attach Supporting Documents (Optional)
- Upload files if needed (e.g., screenshots, client notes, deliverables).
5. Save or Submit
- Click Save to preserve your work and edit later.
- Click Submit for Approval once your entries are complete.
Notes:
- You may see warnings if total daily hours exceed your shift duration (e.g., 9 hours).
- If detailed timesheets are mandatory, this view will be enforced; Weekly View will be disabled.
Best Practices:
-
Use Daily View if your work involves:
- Multiple clients/projects per day.
- Precise task tracking or billing.
- Add clear descriptions for transparency and audit purposes.
- Submit by end of day if your organization enforces same-day reporting.
