Leave Categories: Use cases

Marriage anniversary / Birthday/ Work anniversary leave

  • Go on Control Panel->Settings->Leaves.
  • A new page opens up where under the option “Add leave category” create a leave type with the name “Marriage Anniversary or Birthday or Work anniversary leave”.
  • Update the information for the leave category.
  • Click on More option and select the Event from the drop-down available next to “Event” option and make sure to select the “Applicable To” options.
  • Once all the options are selected, click on Add option.

Maternity Leave (India)

  • Go on Control Panel->Settings->Leaves.
  • A new page opens up where under the option “Add leave category” create a leave type with the name “Maternity Leave”.
  • Add instructions/Description if any in the Description field.
  • Select Frequency as Once
  • Click on More option
  • Select Can be carried to next year (As it is only credited Once)
  • Select Document Required
  • Select Calendar Days in Leave count
  • Once all the options are selected, click on Add option.

Paternity Leave (India)

  • Go on Control Panel->Settings->Leaves.
  • A new page opens up where under the option “Add leave category” create a leave type with the name “Paternity Leave”.
  • Add instructions/Description if any in the Description field.
  • Select Frequency as Once
  • Click on More option
  • Select Can be carried to next year (As it is only credited Once)
  • Select Document Required
  • Select Calendar Days in Leave count
  • Once all the options are selected, click on Add option.

Compensatory Leave

  • Go on Control Panel->Settings->Leaves.
  • A new page opens up where under the option “Add leave category” create a leave type with the name “Compensatory Leave”.
  • Add instructions/Description if any in the Description field.
  • Select Frequency as Once
  • Click on More option
  • Select Allow Employees to apply for leave credits/ compensatory off for this category
  • Specify expiry days if applicable
  • Update the Leave count as per the Sandwich Policy
  • Once all the options are selected, click on Add option.

Sick leave

  • Go on Control Panel->Settings->Leaves.
  • A new page opens up where under the option “Add leave category” create a leave type with the name “Sick Leave”.
  • Add instructions/Description if any in the Description field.
  • Select Frequency as per the crediting policy
  • Click on More option
  • Select Allow Employees to apply leaves even if the leave credit is zero/negative so that they can apply leaves even if leave balance is not available
  • Select Document Required as required
  • Update the Leave count as per the Sandwich Policy
  • Once all the options are selected, click on Add option.
